Her father suffered a stroke and was in the ICU for a long time. She was doing everything she could to care for him — emotionally, physically, financially — while her own bills didn’t stop. He passed away. And there was no protection in place. Everything came out of pocket. That season didn’t just break her emotionally — it put her in a very difficult financial position.
